Key candidates in Chandigarh
In Chandigarh, 19 candidates were in the fray, including independent candidates. Notably, the BJP fielded Sanjay Tandon, while the Congress-AAP alliance backed Manish Tewari. BSP's Ritu Singh is also a contender. BJP had previously won this seat with Kirron Kher, who won in 2014 and 2019, but this time the party chose Sanjay Tandon instead. Congress decided to field Manish Tewari, replacing their former candidate Pawan Kumar Bansal.
The ongoing results indicate a close contest, with Manish Tewari currently in the lead.
